EFT stands for “Emotional Freedom Techniques” which is a powerful tapping technique that you can use to help yourself diminish the emotional impact of memories and incidents that trigger emotional distress. Research has shown that emotional trauma can contribute to disease or “dis-ease”.

EFT is a form of psychological acupressure without the use of needles, that is based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments. EFT uses the fingertips to tap on specific meridians on the head, face and chest while you think about your specific problem. The problem can be about a traumatic event, pain, anxiety, and/or an addiction, for example. EFT encourages the flow and release of negative emotions which enables you to gain a new and more positive way of looking at specific situations or beliefs.

Some people may be initially skeptical about the principles and technique of EFT. Some people take to it immediately, while others may need time to feel comfortable with tapping. It is only recently that the West has come to recognize the electromagnetic energy that flows through the body and regulates our health. EFT helps to re-balance that energy.
